Unfolding Matters

LaSalle BFA Year 3 Work In Progress show was held from 28 April to 1 May 2026 at the Praxis and Project Space at the LASalle College of the Arts McNally campus. The work that I presented at this event was a triptych titled Resonance of Being. The work is based on my research into the resonance between Eastern and Western philosophy, in particular Daoist and Heideggerian philosophy which explores the ideas of being.

Resonance of Being explores resonance as a spatial relation rather than a continuous image. The three panels, separated by intervals of wall space, echo one another through rhythm, density, and repetition, creating a field that unfolds through looking. The work reflects wu wei (effortless action) in its openness to gesture and Gelassenheit (releasement) in its quiet, receptive surface, inviting the viewer to move between the panels and experience resonance as a shared act of perception.
